Large Hopper Tank / Air Trap (12-30kg)

This hopper tank / air trap is ideal for your jet turbine aircraft. The design allows air to be removed from the fuel flow before reaching the pump of the turbine.

The outlet of the Hopper Tank utilizes a 6mm Festo coupling. The fill and drain utilizes a 4mm Festo fitting (included). The fuel supply accommodates two Festo fittings of 6mm (included).

We strongly recommend a 6mm Festo fuel filter from the outlet to the pump. At the pump, one would need to reduce the Festo pipe from 6mm to 4mm to accommodate the fitting on the pump.

As 90 % of all turbine failures are as a result of the pump gears jamming, this filter would eliminate that problem.

The Push-In fittings supplied need to be glued in with AeroPoxy. As an alternative, thread tape can also be used in stead of AeroPoxy.

The Hopper Tank can be bolted down with 3mm cap screws.
